Music Magazine Front Cover

This is my Music Magazine Front cover for 'Revolver'.
The colour scheme is black and white, as I said I wanted it to be, with small injections of colour to emphasise certain words and articles.
The articles inside include: How to write a rock song, win oasis tickets and the headlining article: Scarlet Glass exclusive. The articles are situated around the image, inferring that the magazine worked itself around the artist, Scarlet.
The name Scarlet Glass is edgy and punchy, which not only emphasises the theme of the rock magazine, but it is also the second biggest font style on the page, which the readers can place with the main image.
The main image itself is black and white, and covers some of the title "Revolver".
This is acceptable because loyal readers will know what the magazine is called, without having the main title being shown completely. Also, the main image shows Scarlet as being attractive, new and maybe slightly cheeky, which gives a new look on normal rock artist stereotypes.
The tag line, "Your Top Rock Spot!" is informal and chatty which says to the reader that the magazine is not as hostile and punchy as it first seems, and no matter what the magazine looks like, it'll still always be the magazine that readers enjoy reading.
Green and red are the two colours on the cover, which compliment each other well, and makes the cover look as though everything is being advertised on big neon lights, suggesting the magazine is successful as any rock act that as performed at big stadium.

Overall, I am happy with the cover, and if I did anything differently, I would simply just play around with the colour scheme, however I think it is effective as it is.
